Annual Fund Questions & Answers

Q. What is the Annual Fund?
A. The Annual Fund supports all areas of the University of Indianapolis including student financial aid, campus enhancements, and academic priorities. It provides the University with current-use funds and the flexibility to use the dollars where the need is greatest.

Q. Can a small gift make a difference?
A. Definitely, that's how the Annual Fund exists! When you join thousands of other donors, the Annual Fund grows to over $1 million. Gifts to the University have also helped make us a top-tier university as noted by U.S. News and World Report and help us receive grants from foundations and corporations. These organizations view alumni giving as a reflection of alumni satisfaction.

Q. Does the Annual Fund accept matching funds from companies?
A. Yes. If you or your spouse are employees or retirees of a company who matches charitable gifts, your gift could be doubled or even tripled by that company. Just contact your human resources office, complete the matching gift form, and send it to us to do the rest!

Q. How many alumni give to the University?
A. In fiscal year 2006-07, 19 percent of our bachelor degree alumni contributed to the University. 15 percent of our entire alumni base made a gift. Our goal is to annually exceed 20 percent alumni participation.

Q. How do I make a gift?
A. There are several ways you can make a gift. Either print the donation form and mail it to the address below or call 800-232-8634 ext. 3491 to speak with one of our staff members and make a gift by credit card. You can also visit Alumni Central to make a gift online today.
