Larry was a graduate of UIndy and employed here for 12 years (1971-1982) as data processing director. He filmed UIndy football games for 21 years for Coach Bill Bless. Larry was with Eli Lilly and Co. in Indianapolis for 23 years in the clinical research department. He was a member of Mount Auburn United Methodist Church on Stones Crossing Road. He served two years as president of the Center Grove Little League and six years as president of Center Grove Bantam Football League. He was instrumental in the development of the Center Grove Bantam Football Field on Whiteland Road in White River Township, where one of the fields is named "Collins Field" in his honor. He also served six years as president of the Center Grove Football Parents Club. He served in the U. S. Army Reserve (1969-1975).
