Mike began working for the University of Indianapolis in 1985 as an adjunct faculty in the School of Business. He taught marketing courses and workshops in business communications. In 1990 he became the full-time director for the Center for Continuing Education. In 1996 Mike became a full-time professor for the School of Business. He taught marketing, sales, finance, and entrepreneurship classes. He stressed learning by doing and his entrepreneurship class was highlighted in the Indianapolis Business Journal. Mike taught in Athens during the summer from 1995-2002.
